Kayaking in Hellesylt is a wonderful way to experience the natural beauty of Norway. Enjoy the surrounding mountains while learning about the area. This half day activity is fun for the entire family!

After a safety demonstration and paddling instructions, this tour sets out from the Hellesylt kayak base in search of sights and wildlife. The half day tour is family friendly and suits anyone wanting to spend a few hours exploring the small village surrounded by mountains and valleys while getting light exercise in the great outdoors.

The route follows the Hellesylt shoreline and offers a good chance to see eagles, porpoises and otters. During the trip, your guide will share stories about the local area including the mountain farms and Mt. Åkerneset, which is eroding into the Sunnylvsfjord.

Meeting Point

The meeting point for this activity is at Uteguiden’s Office at Hellesylt Quay in Hellesylt.

Age Limit

Participants have to be at least 6 years old.

Equipment Included

All necessary kayak equipment is included, but you need to make sure you have insurance that covers kayaking.
