Tromsø Snowmobile Tour Evening

Join us for an exhilarating adventure at Camp Tamok, our wilderness retreat just outside Tromsø under the dark arctic sky with the potential to witness the Northern Lights. Your journey begins in Tromsø, where a 90-minute bus ride takes you away to Camp Tamok.

On arrival, we’ll kit you out with winter apparel and all the necessary equipment for your snowmobiling venture. Next, our expert guides will conduct a thorough safety briefing and demonstrate how to master your snowmobile. Paired up, you’ll take turns driving and riding, ensuring everyone gets a chance to steer and enjoy the ride.

Once you’ve glided along the snowy trails and returned the snowmobiles, a warm and inviting experience awaits. Gather in a traditional Sami ambiance, around the fire in a reindeer herder’s tent, where a hot meal will be served. To optimize the experience during busy times, we may split the group – half will enjoy the meal first, then swap with those who head out to the mountains.

The evening concludes with a period of relaxation and warmth, offering a chance to reflect on your thrilling adventure and the beauty of the Arctic night, possibly illuminated by the aurora borealis, before heading back to Tromsø with unforgettable memories.

What to Bring:

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Dress warmly in layers to suit the weather, and consider a scarf for extra warmth in cold conditions.

Important Information about the tour:

• Due to varying terrain, we sometimes reduce speed for safety.
• The time spent snowmobiling may vary based on weather and snow conditions.

Meals and Refreshments:

• Enjoy a complimentary traditional Norwegian soup or stew, with vegetables and your choice of meat or fish.
• Bread, coffee, tea, and water are provided with the meal.

Dietary Needs:

• Inform us of any dietary restrictions or food allergies when booking.
• A fee of 150 NOK will be applied for dietary changes made without prior notice.

Age and Safety Requirements:

• Drivers must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Passengers should be a minimum of 7 years old.
• Each child must have adult supervision.
• To ensure safety, both drivers and passengers need to be at least 130cm tall.
