Northern lights dog sledding tour in Kirkenes

What’s more rustic than seeing northern lights by sled dog? You’ll travel by sled over fjord ice as you search for the elusive Aurora Borealis and watch the lightly forested Arctic wilderness pass by.

On this two-hour nighttime tour, you’ll travel 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) over fjord ice by dog sled as you search for Northern Lights.

Your tour begins at the Snowhotel Kirkenes camp and before embarking across the Arctic tundra, you’ll put on outdoor winter wear and meet the huskies in the dog yard. 

Then you’ll prepare for travel! Each sled holds two guests and is driven by a professional dog musher. You’ll see classic Arctic wilderness landscapes and if the lights make an appearance in the star-studded sky, you’ll have plenty of opportunity and time to admire and photograph them.
