This tour begins with a thrilling boat journey from Trondheim aboard a RIB boat, taking you to the island of Tautra in the Trondheimsfjord and the magnificent Klostergården. Here, you can choose to enjoy food made from local ingredients, try hand-brewed beer in idyllic surroundings, and visit the farm shop.

Explore Klostergården

Klostergården, now family-owned, is run by father Ståle and his son Jørn. Ståle excels in homemade cuisine, drawing on the family’s ancient recipes. At the restaurant, they primarily use local ingredients from their own farm and the surrounding area. Ståle is an expert in reimagining old culinary traditions with a modern twist. You have the option to purchase lunch individually if you choose.

Local micro brewery

The Microbrewery at Klostergården was started as a complement to their food and beverage service when Jørn returned to the farm. The goal was to craft unique beers that would pair well with the meals made on the farm. They currently offer about 30 different beers. You can choose to buy a beer tasting package, where you get to taste 5 of the beers.

Farm Shop Experience

At the farm shop, they sell farm-produced food, beer from their own brewery, cheese, cured meats, spices, and sweets. It also offers various skincare products from Tautra Mariakloster.

Return journey

The tour concludes with a fast-paced journey from Tautra Island back to Trondheim, ensuring that the return is as exhilarating as the adventure itself.
