Rising out of Hjørundfjorden, Mt. Slogen is one of the top mountain walks in Norway for both its impressive view and beauty. This day long hike to the summit is narrow and steep but worth the effort!

From below, Mt. Slogen appears as a triangular shape rising straight up from Hjørundfjorden. From the top, the 1,564 metre (5,131 ft) view into the fjord below is pure magic!

This guided tour to the top of one of the finest summits in the Sunnmøre Alps begins from either Stranda or Øye, depending on what works best for you.

From the Stranda side, the trail leads into Liadalen and then, after a few hours, Mounts Patchellhytta and Slogen appear.

The steep part of the trail begins at the foot of Mt. Slogen and from there, hikers climb over the two distinct humps before following the final ridge to the summit.
