Experienced guides will adapt the glacier hike to the participant's wishes and conditions. Along with your fellow hikers you will get roped together to explore the ancient desert of ice.
During the hike you will have stunning views of the North Sea and the Rosendal Alps. Along the way the guides will share information about the flora and fauna of the area.
The trip starts and ends in Bergen, and includes a scenic Hardangerfjord cruise where you get to kick back and relax while taking in the scenery. There are seamless transfers between bus and boat rides.

Juklavass Glacier
Your hike runs along Juklavass glacier, which is a part of Folgefonna. The glacier consists of both calm, flat ice and more challenging crevasse areas, which means the tour can easily be adjusted to the group’s desires.

Folgefonna Glacier
Folgefonna is Norway’s third largest glacier and has attracted tourists since 1833. At its thickest, the ice measures 400 meters (1,300 ft). The area around the glacier gathers large amounts of snow every winter.

Folgefonna Welcoming Centre
Make sure to check out the brand new welcoming centre located at the foot of the ski lift. It was completed and opened this season. On the inside you will find restrooms, wardrobes, a shop and a restaurant.

Folgefonna National Park
Folgefonna National Park was established in 2005 to preserve the unique flora and fauna in the area. Deep valleys and rivers flooding with ice blue meltwater have been dug out by the glacier.

Hardangerfjord
Surrounded by towering cliffs and lush mountain sides the Hardangerfjord is a masterpiece of nature. Stretching for 179km (111mi), it's the second largest fjord in Norway and the fourth largest in the world.

Guided glacier hike
Equipped with snow anchors, bolts and ice axes, the experienced glacier guides are ready to take you on an adventure. The experienced guide team has been running guided glacier hikes in the area since the mid 90s.
