Landscape Views

Being close to the Sunnmøre Alps, the UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord and mountains dotted with lakes and rivers, Ålesund is surrounded by a diverse and magical landscape. 

One of the best places to see the surrounding nature without leaving Ålesund, is from the top of Mt Aksla. The hike up is quickly rewarded at the top. A little bit further from town is Mt Sukkertoppen a popular alternative.
