The guided hike up Mt. Saksa is the most scenic in the area and a favourite activity for locals and visitors alike. Hike the 1,073 m (3,520 ft) trail and be rewarded with panoramic views of the fjord.

Important on this trip

Meeting Point

The meeting point for this activity is at Uteguiden’s Office at Storgata 10 in Stranda.

Age Limit

Participants must be at least 6 years old.

Transport

For those who don’t have a car a shuttle can be arranged from the activity center to the starting point of the hike for an extra cost.

Food

Lunch is included.

Clothing

Wear hiking boots, light hiking clothes and bring a waterproof and windproof jacket as well as a fleece or wool sweater. Beanies and gloves are necessary on cold days.

Water and extra food

It is a good idea to bring with you a bottle of water and some extra food.
