We offer a comfortable and direct transfer multiple times a day, from central Stavanger to the starting point of the hiking trail, and back. The hike up to Preikestolen is one of the most popular in Norway. Departing from the center of Stavanger, our bus is the fastest way of getting to and from the starting point of the hike – including seat guarantee! The hike up to Preikestolen is challenging. It is 8 km (4,9 mi) long and takes about 4 hours round trip. The route is signposted with lots of red-painted distance markers making it easy to follow the trail. Parts of the trail have beautiful granite stairways engineered by Nepalese Sherpas. There are no shops on the climb so bring enough food and drink supplies for the hike. Once you set off, there is nothing but beautiful nature, stunning views and your fellow hikers. The return bus will pick you up at the same place it let you off. Please make sure to buy tickets online before boarding the bus. Tickets are not sold on board the bus. Please note that the time slots are not flexible.
