Preikestolen Plateau
Preikestolen is beautifully suspended high above the Lysefjord. End to end the Lysefjord measures 42 km (26mi). The steep rocky walls along its sides are made of lightly colored granite, and gives the fjord its name, as ‘lys’ means light.
Hengjane Falls
The catamaran will drive right up to Hengjane Falls. The waterfall springs out from the steep mountainside at a height of 400 metres (1300 ft). It's popular to taste the pure mountain water that's pouring down.
Preikestolen hiking terrain
There are plenty of beautiful spots to rest along the trail of this hiking trip. Appreciate the change in scenery as you ascend beyond the treetops and get a panoramic view of the Lysefjord.
Vagabond’s Cave (Fantahålå)
This gorgeous cove with dramatic cliffs surrounded by an aqua-marine pool, apparently got its name from a group of vagabonds who for months sought shelter there trying to escape the local police. The cove is only accessible from the water.
Ryfast sub-sea tunnel
The bus will pass through the brand new tunnel in both directions. This is the longest sub-sea tunnel in the world. With a length of 14,3km (8,8mi) it is well ahead of its predecessor, the Tokyo Bay Tunnel in Japan.
