Lofoten’s nature is famous for its dramatic mountains, open ocean and sheltered bays. Heading out in a sea kayak is a perfect way to explore the unique scenery and get close to nature. The evening light makes the experience even more special.

A guide will meet you in Svolvær Harbour and provide the necessary instructions and adjust your equipment before you embark on your trip. The area you kayak in is calm and well-suited for beginners. No prior experience or qualifications are necessary.

Paddling out of the Svolvær bay the guide will tell you stories about the area’s past and present. During the trip you will make 4 photo stops. The water clarity is usually great meaning you are likely to spot some of the beautiful marine life taking place under the kayak.

If the weather allows for it your guide will take you to Fiskerkona, where you get to see Hurtigruta on its way to Svolvær.

Remember to bring your camera!  The lighting is perfect for capturing some magical photos. After all, you are embarking on a trip at a time when the sun never sets in Lofoten.
