What Does the Tour Include?

Your dog sledding adventure begins in the lovely town of Alta. A comfortable minibus will take you to the beautiful Gargia mountain lodge. Upon arrival, staff will provide you with warm clothing to ensure comfort during your Arctic journey.

Our expert guides will welcome you and provide detailed instructions on how to handle your husky team. When you are ready, you will start your dog sledding adventure. Each guest can take turns driving the sled if there are two people.

The excited huskies will take you from the pine forest by the lodge to the beautiful Finnmarksvidda plateau. This area is famous for its wide, open landscapes and amazing Arctic views. As you glide through the snow, you will feel a bond with the huskies. Enjoy the fresh, invigorating air of Northern Norway.

After about 60 minutes of exciting dog sledding, you will return to the Gargia mountain lodge. There, you can warm up with hot coffee or tea. During this relaxing break, our guides will share stories about dog sledding in Norway. They will explain the cultural importance of this unique tradition in the Alta region.

• Dog Sledding: Approximately 50 minutes on the trail.
• Transport from Alta to Gargia and back (approximately 30 minutes each way) is included.
