This tour takes you across crystal clear glacial waters on a kayak. Take in the serene naturescape, majestic mountains and waterfalls as your guide leads you on a half-day tour of Lake Årdalsvatnet.

Learn the basic skills of paddling and enjoy a half-day kayak tour on the beautiful Lake Årdalsvatnet. A highlight of the day is paddling across the emerald green water from the glaciers of Jotunheimen. 

Along the way, your guide will take you to picturesque sights and share about the local history and culture of the area. You'll see everything from the surrounding mountains Hurrungane and Jotunheimen to waterfalls. 

Around midday, you'll stop to make camp and have lunch on the lakeside. This enjoyable, relaxing tour gets you up close to this special area, one of the most spectacular in Norway.

Age Limit

Children have to be at least 12 years old to take part in this trip.

Equipment Included

Paddle shoes, life jacket and all necessary kayaking equipment

Please bring

A change of clothes, sun glasses and a hat. If the temperatures are lower we recommend putting on a layer of wool.

Meeting Point

Naustbukt in Øvre Årdal or at Meierihopen Gjestehamn at Årdalstangen (which of the 2 locations we pick depends on the weather. A final confirmation of meeting point will be shared with you the day before the trip.

No food is included so feel free to bring along some snacks. We also recommend to bring plenty of water.
