The hike up Preikestolen

The hike up to Preikestolen is challenging. It is 8 km (4,9 mi) long in total and takes about 4-5 hours round trip. The route is signposted with lots of red-painted distance markers making it easy to follow the trail. Parts of the trail have beautiful granite stairways engineered by Nepalese Sherpas.

Once you leave the parking lot next to Preikestolen Fjellstue and set off on your hike, there are no shops – it’s just you, nature and your fellow hikers.
