This isn’t just a tour, it is an authentic experience in nature that will teach you to be a musher. Professional guides will give you all the necessary instructions and will be by your side at all times.

The tour is planned to cover 20-40 km (12-24 mi) in total. However, the length of the trail depends on snow and weather conditions.

In between steering your dog sled, you’ll make stops to properly see the landscape of Jotunheimen National Park. A longer pitstop will take place around an open fire halfway the tour where you’ll prepare a meal in the wilderness.

Important on this trip


During the trip you will be served a wilderness lunch.


Dress appropriately to match Norwegian winter weather conditions. Warm overall dress and winter boots are available for you to borrow if you need to.

Meeting Point

The meeting point is Beitovegen 330, outside Beito Husky Tours' Activity Center.

Age Limit

Children are welcome to join this tour, accompanied by an adult. Children under 14 years old will be normally sitting on the sledge. Contact us in forehand before booking children under 6.

Pregnancy precaution

Pregnant women cannot participate on any dog sledding tour.

Cancellation policy

For an additional fee of NOK 250 you may cancel or make changes to the booking of this activity until 30 days before it takes place.
