This package tour is a perfect combination of 2 of Norway's best hiking experiences, Preikestolen and Kjerag! You can choose the order in which you want to tackle the mountains in the itinerary. The default option is to do the Preikestolen hike first as this is the least demanding one. Please note that the bus to Kjerag only runs on the weekends in June and August. It runs daily in July.
About the Preikestolen hike:
Choose between 2 departure times from Stavanger. Once you get to Preikestolen BaseCamp you will have 5 hours to hike to Preikestolen and back to catch the bus to Stavanger.
The Preikestolen hike is moderately difficult. Once you reach the uniquely shaped rock that towers 604 m (1980 ft) over Lysefjord, you will be rewarded with jaw-dropping views. There is a reason why this is among the most popular hikes in all of Norway.

About the Kjerag hike:
The bus departs from Stavanger in the morning and takes you directly to Øygardsstøl, which is the starting point for your hike. You have 6 hours to complete the hike before your bus takes you back to Stavanger.
At 1,084 meters above sea level, Kjerag is the highest peak in the Lysefjord and home to the world-famous boulder Kjeragbolten or Kjerag Boulder wedged in a mountain crevice 1,000 m (3280 ft) above sea level.
It is a challenging hike, but you will know you made the right choice when you're rewarded with the incredible scenery waiting for you when you see Kjeragbolten high above the sparkling, turquoise Lysefjord. Some people are happy just enjoying the view. The most daring step out onto the boulder itself.

Preikestolen
Towering 604 meters (1981ft.) above sea level, the glacial rock formation that makes up Preikestolen (the Pulpit Rock), is among the most popular attractions in Norway. The hiking destination has been named one of the world's most spectacular viewing points by both CNN and Lonely Planet.
Kjerag hiking terrain
It is important to note that the hike is demanding taking you up and down hilly mountain tops. Round trip the trail measures 9,8 km (6 mi). The difference in altitude is 460 m (1509 ft).
Kjerag boulder
The 5 cubic meter (180 cu ft)) large boulder has become a popular hotspot for people wanting to test their nerves by stepping out on the rock that is suspended 984 m above the Lysefjord. This is one to check off your bucket list!

Starting point of the Preikestolen hike
The pickup point of Preikestolen Express bus is at Preikestolen basecamp. Here you will find a cafe, hikers shop and toilets.
Preikestolen hiking terrain
There are plenty of beautiful spots to rest along the trail of this hiking trip. Cool down with a swim in one of the mountain waters. Appreciate the change in scenery as you ascend beyond the treetops and get a panoramic view of the Lysefjord.
