Northern lights dancing on the sky in Lofoten

Lofoten Northern Lights Photo Tour

Witness the Aurora Borealis in Lofoten - one of the world’s most fantastic natural phenomena

Lofoten lies directly beneath the auroral oval, offering prime conditions for viewing the Northern Lights.

Once darkness falls, the aurora can be visible, weather permitting. If it’s cloudy, we’ll strive to locate a spot under clear skies. The peak season for the Northern Lights runs from September to April. Our tours are generally directed to Lofoten’s northern side, where minimal artificial lighting and an expansive northern horizon enhance the viewing experience.

The tour is ideal for anyone eager to witness and experience the Northern Lights. As we journey, you’ll learn about the places we visit and what life in Lofoten is like.

Photographing the Northern Lights is a skill, but our guide will offer valuable tips. They’ll take photos during the tour, which you’ll receive afterwards, and they’ll also teach you how to capture your own Northern Lights images.
